Dr. jason marr, naturopathic doctor

"I help (empower) people to do the things they want to do - with passion - so that they (we, collectively) can change the world.

I work exclusively with urban professionals, executives, entrepreneurs, athletes and high-functioning students to manage and overcome stress, fatigue and burnout. Taking an evidence-based and functional approach to medicine, we’ll work together to optimize your body and brain function so that you can get out there and do the things that you want to, balance your life, and be successful in everything that you do."

Philosophy & family

Dr. Marr believes that optimal health is dependent on individual balance in life, and that there are no absolute truths – in health, or otherwise. He views optimal health, and disease, as two ends of the same spectrum. No matter where you are now on that spectrum, he believes in inspiring and empowering you towards optimal wellbeing. His goal in life and practice, and his mantra, is to “change the world – one person at a time”.

When Dr. Marr is not out enjoying the lifestyle that Vancouver and British Columbia afford him with his 2-year old son Connor, or with his family and friends, he enjoys reading about how trends capture our societies, about emerging technology, learning about changes in interpersonal communication, and the evolution of the psychology of motivation. Dr. Marr is a lifelong, devoted fanatic of the Vancouver Canucks, and an amateur photographer.

A former varsity volleyball athlete for the University of Waterloo Warriors, and a provincial soccer champion, Dr. Marr also served for three years as the Assistant Coach for the StFX Women’s Volleyball program. Today, Dr. Marr continues to play volleyball, soccer and ultimate frisbee at both recreational and competitive levels, at all times of the year, and snowboards recreationally.
